On November 4, 2023, Blantyre sports club held for the first time in the history of its existence a member’s day to appreciate and celebrate its members.

Activities during the event included all sports disciplines participation among others tennis, darts, swimming, golf, weight lifting and football.

On this special day, corporate sponsors among others OCL, Sunbird Hotels and Malawi Revenue Authority sponsored the event and games and had an opportunity to showcase their products and services.

The Director of Commerce, Mr Gift Gondwe pointed out among other objectives of the event was to encourage non active members to patronize the club as well as open the club to potential members to sample the club facilities and services in order to boost membership.

During the sports events winners emerged from various sports disciplines. Mr. Gondwe pointed out that this will be an annual event.
